We all have our differences. Sometimes when those differences go beyond a given range, we create special names for them. I use the term autism when I describe my own differences, because it fits in some ways … but not all.

For me, Parkour is a mindset for movement — a nature orientation woven into daily life. As I age, the practice transcends acrobatics to become a standard means for navigating the vibrant streets and beaches of Baltimore and Puerto Rico. Through simple choices like walking instead of driving, going over instead of around sometimes … everyday routines can become opportunities for mindful movement. Jumping sketchy sidewalks or cutting across parks become means to not only maintain health, but make our journey more interesting.
